Lary Glen Anderson's Bio
Lary Anderson always loved radio, wondering how it worked, who that person was talking out of the speaker of his handheld transistor radio he received for Christmas one year.
At age 16, Lary mustered enough courage to apply at a local radio station in Olympia Washington. To his surprise KGYAM hired him! Lary had visions of him being behind the microphone and playing his favorite songs, but to his dismay, Lary was put to work at the station doing odd jobs such as filling the soda machine, miscellaneous painting projects, or waxing the floors. Lary didn't mind, to him he was working for his favorite radio station; KGY1240AM!
After sometime the radio operators took a liking to Lary and his energetic enthusiasm to the radio business, and eventually let him sort records and assist in the radio studio booth from time to time. The first day that young Lary Anderson was sitting quietly in the studio booth during a live Don Jones broadcast, Lary was hooked! He wanted to be a radio DJ!
As Lary reached his 20s he realized he had a gift in doing impressions, he got into the entertainment business doing celebrity impersonations, and eventually becoming a successful Elvis impersonator, performing live shows in large venues throughout Washington, Las Vegas, and California.
After a long successful career as one of the top Elvis impersonators, Lary decided to retire his days of the King and go back to his long lost first love; radio. He started up a small radio station in a rural community right outside Las Vegas. KGHOST-Ghost town radio was born!
After much success in his community, Lary decided to branch out to the World Wide Web. KGHOST's radio microphones were turned on all over the world with Internet radio!
Today, Lary is busy doing celebrity voice-overs for commercials and various ad agencies, in addition to fulfilling his passion of running his own radio station. With wide variety of music formats and innovative shows and programming, Lary's KGHOST Radio is the place to listen.
